Makin' Turkeys

I like to make hand print turkeys.
Taking my time on the painting part and really making a solid turkey is rewarding.

This year we went as sheep.

We weren't expecting to find our neighbor waiting for us on his front steps.
We thought it was just a stuffed scarecrow.
I barely reacted, but now I can't stop staring at him.
Ryal screamed and jumped into Mom's arms,
now he can't wait to get off the porch!

Checking out the loot the next day we found these awesome wax mustaches!

Owen did you notice that our candy bags weren't as full today?
Yes Ryal, I did notice that. It's as if someone went through and took 80% of it out.

A note from the mother...

Things that have happened around here that I don't have a visual for....

A. Both Ryal and Owen call tell you all 44 presidents in order. They know what the White House is, who lives there now, and who was the first president to reside there. They can also tell you who the current VP is, Sec. of State, and Iowa's Governor (hopefully he will get to stay after today's election). This has been recorded on video and I have tried numerous times to post it. Every time I get an error message. So next time you see them, ask them to tell you the presidents! : )

B. The other day I was folding laundry in my room and they were watching a movie. I heard a loud crash and Owen started crying. I went running out to find Owen in tears and his brother looking pretty guilty. I asked Ryal if he pushed his brother and he said "Not with my hands", so I asked again "Did you push your brother?" and he said "Not with my left foot".....I had to leave the room so he wouldn't see me laugh.
