Note from Meghan:
This past weekend we took a trip to Louisville, KY. to visit my brother and his family. We stayed in a hotel room that was adjoined to my parents room for ease at bedtime. Owen and Ryal quickly educated themselves on the ins and outs of the doorways and what follows next is what happens when a two year old is smarter than an entire hotel staff.

Mom, eating this cheeseburger through the door is fun and all, but can you open the door now?

Our Birthday Lasted Three Days!

We turned two last Thursday and we had a great birthday weekend!
We started off by taking cookies to our favorite nurses at the St. Lukes NICU. Then we went to see our Doctor. He said Owen weighs 25 lbs. and I weigh 28 lbs. He told our mom we are doing great! Then we had to have a shot, but we handled it like big boys! After our nap we woke up to a great surprise. Our Nana and Papa Hanson decided to come a day early! Dad had conferences at school so we went out to eat Mexican with two Papas two Nanas and a Mama. We played outside in our new trampoline. Nana and Papa Hanson gave us our next session of gymnastics for a gift, so Nana and Papa Ryal gave us a trampoline to practice on at home. Then we had cake and finally Dad came home to put us to bed. It was an exhausting day, but a great 2nd birthday!

This is our new trampoline. We like to jump a little and then get out and then get back in and jump some more.

This is me with my cake. I was okay until someone made the flame move and that scared me. I don't like candles, they make me scream and cry.

I like candles! I blew mine out all by myself!
I'm 2!

On May Day we had a bigger party because Daddy was able to come. We got bikes! We can't reach the pedals, but we like to scoot backwards. Ryal likes to pick his up and carry it between his legs.
